CWP was established in 2007 to finance the development of wind farms in Romania and Poland.  Since then it has expanded into other European countries as well as Australia and New Zealand. Our investors comprise both institutions and high net worth individuals residing in the US and Europe.
 
Continental Wind Partners is registered in Delaware, USA. For each country of operation it has a fully-owned subsidiary which finances the activities of local SPVs dedicated to specific projects.
 

CWP together with its local partners secures land rights, measures and analyses wind resources, designs wind farms, secures grid access, obtains planning consents, selects and procures turbines and other necessary equipment, studies the environmental impact of potential sites, signs long-term sales contracts for the electricity output, and accomplishes all the other tasks which lead to the creation of a buildable wind farm.  

CWP always works with local developers and always generously shares the value realised from joint enterprises. Our concept of partnership is that local developers bring what they know, and we bring what we know. Our local partners have local knowledge and relationships that are invaluable. CWP understands the external parameters for financing a wind farm, and has the banking expertise to negotiate such financing. We can also assist local developers with micrositing, turbine procurement, environmental impact assessments, and the permitting processes, as well as provide capital to fund development. In addition to our in-house expertise, we have specialist partners in engineering, banking and finance. These long-standing partners provide CWP with the tools to help local developers work faster, smarter, and better, to achieve an optimal result for all parties.
