Mark Crandall, Chairman of the Board.

Mark co-founded Morgan Stanley’s commodity trading business in 1984. Subsequently he was the head of Glencore’s oil trading business and then was a founder of Trafigura which has now become one of the largest physical commodity traders in the world. He began investing in renewable energy projects in 2005 and formed CWP in 2007. 


Dr. Jürg Gassman, General Counsel, Non-Executive Member of the Board.

Dr. Jürg Gassmann studied law at the University of Zürich and the University of Tokyo, and is qualified as Rechtsanwalt in Switzerland and as solicitor in England. As general counsel, he has advised Continental Wind Partners on the development, financing and construction of major wind parks in Romania, Serbia and Australia since 2009. His prior work experience extends from the Capital Markets Department of The Sumitomo Trust & Banking in Tokyo, to a private investment group in Zürich, to Black & Veatch in Kansas City and Hong Kong, dealing with the development, financing and construction of IPPs in Asia, Europe and the Americas, to diverse clients and projects in the Europe, the Caribbean, and Asia.



Alex Hewitt, Member of the Board, Executive.

Alex is a founding partner of CWP.  He has developed over 3,000MW of wind energy projects in Europe and Australia since 2003.  His involvement covers all stages of project development including screening, land leasing, grid negotiations, permitting, gathering wind data, procurement of turbines and construction.  During the last 20 years, Alex has been engaged solely in the development, financing and management of infrastructure projects and the acquisition and management of utility companies.  Prior to CWP he worked with United Utilities and Bechtel Enterprises, developing BOT and concession projects in the water and wastewater sectors. 



Fabrizio Cagnasso, Member of the Board, Executive.

Fabrizio is a tax and corporate adviser based in the Principality of Monaco with fifteen years of experience in company management, sitting as a director on the boards of international companies active in diverse industries. He has managed his own firm since 1992 and was a founding partner of CWP where he is now responsible for managing financial aspects of the business and for dealing with tax, legal and compliance issues.



Dimitar Enchev, Member of the Board. Dimitar graduated from Swarthmore College (USA) and the London School of Economics and started his career at Postscriptum (UK) Ltd, a London-based private equity focused on renewable energy. At PostScriptum, Dimitar was involved in various investments in the PV, biomass and wind, including the largest biomass power project in the world and the founding of Continental Wind Partners (CWP). In 2008 he joined CWP full-time,   where he eventually served as Board Member and was involved in the successful development and financing of a number of large-scale wind farms.
