BULGARIA: New feed-in-tariffs for electricity from renewables are in force

New feed-in-tariffs for electricity from Renewable Energy Sources (RES) are in force.

After a closed-door meeting the previous day, on August 29th 2012 SEWRC came out with a decision (C-29/29.08.2012) on the new levels of feed-in-tariffs for electricity produced by RES for the period of July 2012-July 2013:

  • Wind PP operating up to 2250h= €76.03.66;
  • Wind PP operating above 2250h= €67.85;
  • PVPP with installed capacity of 30 kWp= €188.71;
  • PVPP with installed capacity of 30 kWp to 200 kWp= €121.20;
  • PVPP with installed capacity above 200 kWp-€120.80;
  • Biomass PP /wood chips/ with installed capacity <5 MW=€146.89;

Parallel to that, SEWRC published a decision, stating that there is no available grid capacity for connection of RES power plants for the above mentioned period, except for small RES installations on roofs/facades <30kwP; installations on industrial or storage buildings <200kWp and biomass installations of up to 1.5 MWp.
